Croft Alley is one of the alleys in inner city Melbourne (off Little Bourke Street in China Town). It was hard to find the first time. It is a smorgasbord of street art with lots of humour.
While I am taking a blog break, I am sharing some photos of street art that I have taken over the last few months. I will return with more food posts in June.
I love the art in our laneways. There was a protest last week to stop a high rise hotel development in Hosier Lane.
ReplyDeleteI love street art, i take pics of it whenever I see something that catches my eye
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break. That certainly is a lot of street art in one alley! There's a lot of talent there but I'm not sure I'd like that in my street! xx
ReplyDeleteI love street art. The best stuff seems to be in Melbourne. Sydneys tends to get people tagging over the top. So disrespectful!
ReplyDeleteThat street art is gorgeous! I especially love the crazy colorful one.
ReplyDeleteThose are outstanding! I can see why you enjoyed photographing it.
ReplyDeleteYay for street art, they are my favorite part of a city, some of the murals and/or street arts are so gorgeous and some are pretty dramatic and hilarious! ;) I really want to drop by Melbourne one day, hopefully I will make a trip there and check out this interesting Croft Alley. I love the lady in green dress with “dogs” toward her, I’m trying to figure out the meaning of the art. Thanks for sharing these beautiful street artworks, I look forward to seeing more food posts next month! Have a great break! x
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I particularly like the third from the bottom - what an amazing collection of colours and shapes.
ReplyDeleteWow, these are stunning works of art! Thank you for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see graffiti like this in Sydney I always think of Melbourne's laneways! Great street art :)
ReplyDeleteBtw the name Croft Alley reminds me of that crocodile artwork in the 2nd photograph.
