Street Art in Melbourne: Hosier Lane 2021

Life is busy.  We are out of the snap 5 day lockdown from last week.  It is amazing but it seems weeks ago.  So these photos from Hosier Lane on the weekend before lockdown seem to have been with me a long time but in terms of my slowness to blog, actually they are pretty recent.  The street art seemed to encompass so many current issues: Trump, Australia Day controversy, renewable energy, lockdown, diversity, FaceBook bullying, ScoMo at play and more!

  1. The artists appear to be very passionate, though not always very artistic! Your post is appealing for the way it seems in touch with the people who are expressing themselves.

Good to hear you are opening up again, I hope it lasts.

  2. Thanks so much for sharing this spectacular, topical street art--fab!

  3. Ah thank you for sharing, one of the things i really miss is mooching about Bristol and checkign out the graffiti art, your blog post has somewhat fed some of my thirst. Thank you. I always love those with a message 'sorry no funding for communities', though those will humour do make me smile too

  4. I always love the street art that you show us Johanna! Glad to hear that you're ok after the 5 day lockdown and that numbers didn't spike :)

  5. You always find such fab street art! Tags are as good as it gets here.

Thanks for dropping by. I love hearing from you. Please share your thoughts and questions. Annoyingly the spammers are bombarding me so I have turned on the pesky captcha code (refresh to find an easy one if you don't like the first one)
