I have found that removing from the heat and piping the mixture is best because otherwise it cooks in one end too much more than the other - and cooking just until done on the low heat keeps the colour better. But even so working quickly with piping is best. There have been quite a few pancakes that don't look as good as these and Sylvia just does squiggles sometimes - she finds it hard to keep control of the squeezy bottle to make the lines straight - I think being fast and firm helps with this but am still learning myself.Johanna GGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594201473931487490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-30792879743425172682016-03-03T13:03:52.026+11:002016-03-03T13:03:52.026+11:00Thanks Joey - yeah Sylvia is into the fun but I ne...Thanks Joey - yeah Sylvia is into the fun but I need to use up bananas and sourdough - hence the banana hybrid recipeJohanna GGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594201473931487490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-8654508667717659852016-03-03T13:03:05.860+11:002016-03-03T13:03:05.860+11:00Thanks Lorraine - the pancakes take on the drawing...Thanks Lorraine - the pancakes take on the drawing lines quite easily - I also tried a swirly one which is in the photo collage but I am not sure you can see the lines in itJohanna GGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594201473931487490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-73632060315362908372016-03-03T13:02:13.659+11:002016-03-03T13:02:13.659+11:00Thanks Lisa - I cannot take credit for the idea th...Thanks Lisa - I cannot take credit for the idea though I had had to tweak the recipe to suit the squeezy bottleJohanna GGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594201473931487490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-43936329482102035292016-03-02T19:06:50.649+11:002016-03-02T19:06:50.649+11:00I love all the shapes - so cute and creative.I love all the shapes - so cute and creative.Cakelawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17205068748520541380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-82265950798284379642016-03-02T09:18:19.265+11:002016-03-02T09:18:19.265+11:00I so love your squeezy drawn pancakes!
