What gets my attention here is the added garlic. I cannot find a reason why I have not added garlic to my pea soup, I add it to everything else! Will give your recipe a go next time. And wow, the color is awesome!winedebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16891313852429967357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-5885556965874802192008-01-24T08:53:00.000+11:002008-01-24T08:53:00.000+11:00thanks Sunita - was good to be challenged to think...thanks Sunita - was good to be challenged to think of a dish to feature garlic rather than just having it in the background as I do often do!Johanna GGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594201473931487490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-85431163425364719852008-01-24T00:48:00.000+11:002008-01-24T00:48:00.000+11:00Thanks for sending over that lovely looking soup. Thanks for sending over that lovely looking soup.sunitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09176577177334401747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-4836043766735803522008-01-23T20:15:00.000+11:002008-01-23T20:15:00.000+11:00I'm with you Vicki - garlic seems to go so well in...I'm with you Vicki - garlic seems to go so well in everything.Johanna GGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594201473931487490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-25635104118435199462008-01-23T12:47:00.000+11:002008-01-23T12:47:00.000+11:00I love garlic, and have eaten so much that I think...I love garlic, and have eaten so much that I think I'm immune to it now - I only notice it when it's missing!Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16258422495964985299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-4591530782979377352008-01-23T08:27:00.000+11:002008-01-23T08:27:00.000+11:00thanks Ricki - I have always enjoyed roasted garli...thanks Ricki - I have always enjoyed roasted garlic with a roast dinner but it does add real depth of flavour to this soup.

Glad you enjoyed the pumpkin scones - I could (and did the other day) eat them for breakfast, lunch and tea! But the pea and garlic combo does sound great (and, truly, "day-glo"!).

And coincidentally, I also just tried out your pumpkin scones (or are they biscuits?) yesterday, though I used sweet potato in place of the pumpkin. They turned out perfect--delicious, and very light. Will be blogging about it this week as part of the sweet potato "series."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
