It's just so much less expensive this way and, let's face it, I crave vegetables way more often than I have ever craved meat. Place a cheeseburger or a plate of winter squash in front of me, and I will choose the winter squash every time.

I am so impressed that you made your own veggie sausages! They sound fantastic, especially in these pasta dishes.Joannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17133232352924060797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-64879123767242175872009-11-21T01:00:31.094+11:002009-11-21T01:00:31.094+11:00Great read and very thought provoking. That said, I do like to make at least 1 or two meals a week that are meatless.

Your dishes look hearty enough to fool any carnivore. I won't tell if you don't!

Thanks for sharing with Presto Pasta Nights.Ruth Danielshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11173472189049022779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-65029786495282062652009-11-20T11:20:37.574+11:002009-11-20T11:20:37.574+11:00Thanks Ricki - the silverbeet seems to grow ok tho...Thanks Ricki - the silverbeet seems to grow ok though mine wasn't that successful but my mum's is healthy - as for limes, I will be surprised if I get any growing to a size that I can use - my mum has had a lime tree for a while and it has never produced proper fruitJohanna GGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594201473931487490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-81960462877911453322009-11-19T12:50:59.386+11:002009-11-19T12:50:59.386+11:00Love the veg sausage and cheese dish. My lavender plants are still thiriving so no haircut yet, but I can see what you mean.

I love the colours of the young chard leaves too. They are quite hardy plants.Shaheenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03602971207085826708noreply@blogger.com
