I love the idea of pairing them with beet hummus. And of course, the association with Downton Abbey made me smile. I watched season 1 and liked it a lot: I know I am behind. (We got distracted by other series.) I also love to bake scones and seem to continuously come up with variations. They are one of my best food memories of my London study vacations years ago. They sound delicious too and I like the fact you didn't add sugar to them as I assumed they were savoury scones anyway. I also liked your references to Downton Abbey and whilst they might view these scones as too untraditional for afternoon tea, I'd enjoy one whilst watching a Downton episode. Except, of course, that all episodes will be clouded by tragedy after they chose to end Season 3 that way...humph.Karihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15887621874869110597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-59382984663196225592013-08-09T08:43:40.941+10:002013-08-09T08:43:40.941+10:00I was about to scold you for ever thinking you sho...I was about to scold you for ever thinking you should remove sugar, but then you put vegemite on yours so all is forgiven. ;)Hannahhttp://wayfaringchocolate.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-82430524037862358442013-08-09T07:11:52.415+10:002013-08-09T07:11:52.415+10:00Fun looking scones!Fun looking scones!yummychunklethttp://yummychunklet.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
