I've bought agar agar a couple of times but have been scared to use it because I've heard that the results really aren't the same but I guess once you get used to it, you can modify the amounts accordingly? Thanks for the recommendation to vegan about town! As you can see I'm very behind on my blog reading but am slowly about to catch up. ;)eatme_delicioushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14657772782487330009noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-59006674490107123432010-01-25T09:23:37.502+11:002010-01-25T09:23:37.502+11:00This cheese and almond bread looks delicious - I l...This cheese and almond bread looks delicious - I love your savoury recipes.Cakelawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17205068748520541380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-90435946872762442122010-01-24T03:27:36.363+11:002010-01-24T03:27:36.363+11:00Oh man... that bread looks and sounds divine.

I had wondered about doing this bread in a round tin and decorating with more leaves and tomatoes for a birthday 'cake'<br /><br />Thanks AOF - I need a little agar agar encouragement - will try again though maybe not immediately - though I hope to try rice salad again soon (to get back on that horse!)Johanna GGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594201473931487490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-35374295538722493922010-01-23T22:41:52.885+11:002010-01-23T22:41:52.885+11:00Agar is worth persisting with. Last week I wanted to make some rice milk and got out what I thought was brown rice....which wasn't and made the milk. It was nice but it wasn't what I planned so this morning I'm using my brown rice (which I've found) and thanking God there are no weevils. Sorry dear but the bread makes up for it...so well doneKitchen Butterflyhttp://www.kitchenbutterfly.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-58369543165521142342010-01-23T17:43:49.336+11:002010-01-23T17:43:49.336+11:00Do you think this could work with goat's chees...Do you think this could work with goat's cheese? My mum is gluten-free and lactose intolerant, but can cope with goat's cheese. I'm really interested in making this for her, as I'm terrified by breads that use yeast even without factoring in the gluten replacement!<br /><br />Also, I want some myself, and would surely get some if I made it for her :)Hannahhttp://wayfaringchocolate.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
