And thanks for the cream cheese comment as I was trying to remember what we would sometimes ice or frost a banana cake with and it was cream cheese icing.Johanna GGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594201473931487490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-34495625716773258962008-05-17T02:54:00.000+10:002008-05-17T02:54:00.000+10:00What a universal loaf! We used to let some cream cheese soften and we would spread that on as an extra treat. Nothing beats a warm slice of bananna bread with a big glob of butter! Thanks for the memories and a reminder that I should make a loaf!winedebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16891313852429967357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-80022418019071773082008-05-14T23:27:00.000+10:002008-05-14T23:27:00.000+10:00thanks Ricki - I never think of banana bread as a ...thanks Ricki - I never think of banana bread as a childhood food but it does seem popular with the mums! Hope your mother is feeling better--I'm sure she appreciated a piece of this lovely.

And I must admit I'd never thought of the black specs as looking like ants--will never see banana bread the same way! ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
