Would this work with premade sausages at all? Would the crumbs stick to the casing or would I have to remove the casing? My Dad had one of those bbq's made from red bricks and a giant metal plate down the back yard too.

These sausages sound fascinating, I've always used the one's you linked to (which you totally should try! They sound intimidating but they're really quite easy, the worst bit is all the wrapping). I can't wait to try them, the one's in the supermarket are always full of soy and I'd love something to put on the bbq when the husband fires ours up!Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01418079315150652057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-19427241018708251572008-12-07T08:57:00.000+11:002008-12-07T08:57:00.000+11:00A timely post for me, as I have two bbq's to go to...A timely post for me, as I have two bbq's to go to today! I also have strong summer memories of chowing down on charcoal-tasting sausages in a square of plain white bread - topped with a strip of sweet tomato sauce of course. We also used to have many BBQs as kids, as my dad (a butcher) would bring home lots of different meats--including sausages--and we'd have a huge grill full for Sunday lunch. I love the sound of these--must see if I can find chestnut puree. And SEVEN KIDS??!! Wow. I thought our three was a zoo--can't imagine seven! ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
