I think it's gonna be a couple years or so until it's big enough to produce fruit though. In the mean time I'm buying limes when I find them for a reasonable price then juicing them in my juicer and freezing the juice in ice cube trays for using in recipes. Fresh lime juice is soooo much nicer than the bottled stuff.shawnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15393933015016286894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-29419723308469150352012-06-23T11:28:08.331+10:002012-06-23T11:28:08.331+10:00I love this kind of post--so much interesting info...I love this kind of post--so much interesting info! And it's amazing to me that you can have a LIME TREE on your back porch! I can hardly grow jalapenos in the summer (which I chose for the sole reason that I assumed no bugs would want to eat them!). Gorgeous photos. I adore limes. I recently bought preserved lemons in a jar and thought of you. . . but I fear that now it's been opened, they are no longer good anyway! ;)Rickihttp://dietdessertndogs.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-66019416113483974742012-06-20T20:58:48.065+10:002012-06-20T20:58:48.065+10:00Thanks Lorraine - oh enjoy your lime stash - and I...Thanks Lorraine - oh enjoy your lime stash - and I hope the lime and pineapple brings so relief to your throatJohanna GGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594201473931487490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-59566624934637172822012-06-20T20:57:29.787+10:002012-06-20T20:57:29.787+10:00Thanks Susan - I was really pleased at all the gre...Thanks Susan - I was really pleased at all the green pics on my green blog - limes are so much nicer than lemons aren't theyJohanna GGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594201473931487490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-71552112044850287972012-06-20T20:56:48.549+10:002012-06-20T20:56:48.549+10:00Thanks Cakelaw - I never knew they turned yellow e...Thanks Cakelaw - I never knew they turned yellow either until I had my tree and found they went yellow - then I was relieved to read that this was common when I started reading about limes.
