If you can send me a close-up photo, when you have time, I could tell you what type of lace it is. The rice paper is edible....as I am sure you know......and they are scrumptious. Have just bought some in Edinburgh's German Christmas Market.
Having eaten the delicious Christmas meal, I assure you all that it was as good as it looked. A triumph!
AnneAnne Ritchienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-4314434610871992072012-12-21T06:54:21.517+11:002012-12-21T06:54:21.517+11:00How cool, a trip to Scotland! If the Big Issue over here had David Tennant on the cover, I reckon more people would buy it.. :) Have a great Christmas!celiahttp://www.figjamandlimecordial.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-75331817792179782052012-12-20T02:56:51.303+11:002012-12-20T02:56:51.303+11:00Oh!!!! Also, I'm in love with flavoured popcorn right now. Kettle Corn and Dill Pickle Popcorn are my current favourites :DHannahhttp://wayfaringchocolate.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-47504365602647273182012-12-19T22:55:33.897+11:002012-12-19T22:55:33.897+11:00Love this post! I could comment on every single aspect but will constrain myself to three: I would love a Big Issue with David Tennant on the cover, I too could live in Sainsbury's, and Mr B is getting a can of Irn Bru in his Christmas stocking this year (it has appeared in the English section of our Coles and he has never tried it) :-)

I think I'd find it tough returning to Australia just before Christmas, given how well the UK does Christmas, so I hope you're enjoying the warmth and not missing the snugness of Scotland too much.Karihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15887621874869110597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-81849422736897871732012-12-19T17:02:15.119+11:002012-12-19T17:02:15.119+11:00In our coles ( SE melbourne) in the international ...In our coles ( SE melbourne) in the international section, they sell a couple of types of oatcakes and irn bru in bottles and cans. Congrats on making it in the 5 blogs of note - that's very well deserved especially with all of your wonderful novelty cake making! It's funny how Sylvia referred to the Viking cheese as tofu bacon cheese, she must be really keen on the tofu bacon.

I would love to buy brussel sprouts on the stalk one day, I've seen photos of them in US farmers markets too but have never come across them being sold like that in Australia.Melhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10057980932079998162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-32422473539085582342012-12-19T11:34:25.193+11:002012-12-19T11:34:25.193+11:00Welcome back :) I enjoyed reading about your tra...Welcome back :) I enjoyed reading about your travels!
