We served it with clapshot and peas which is sort of traditional as haggis usually comes with mashed neeps and tatties

thanks Ricki - I would recommend you try the recipe - there is always hogmanay and burns night coming up soon if you need an excuse. BTW I thought it was a flimsy excuse for twin peaks but full marks for brazen cheek!

thanks Jules - the idea of meat haggis also makes me a little queasy and I think the veg versions I have had are much more easy for me to think about - as well as tasting so good!Johanna GGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594201473931487490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-43355282929149348722008-12-06T19:56:00.000+11:002008-12-06T19:56:00.000+11:00I've eaten haggis and to me it just tastes like sp...I've eaten haggis and to me it just tastes like spiced mince, but I'm not a big fan of it due to what goes into it so I would much prefer to eat your veggie haggis! It looks delicious.Juleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14015913853422407964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-84527418763982175552008-12-06T15:38:00.000+11:002008-12-06T15:38:00.000+11:00I think I might swoon at this recipe, too--it soun...I think I might swoon at this recipe, too--it sounds fabulous! I keep wanting to try veg haggis and haven't gotten around to it--maybe this year.

And justifying Twin Peaks because it was shown on the telly in Scotland--brilliant! Made me laugh :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-25287541762365100462008-12-06T12:19:00.000+11:002008-12-06T12:19:00.000+11:00This sounds like a good recipe, maybe adding a lit...This sounds like a good recipe, maybe adding a little soya mince, might make it look more like the traditional haggis you talk about. I have never seen to know what it looks like. Did you have it on its own or with some rice ?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-79598374786139988342008-12-06T08:47:00.000+11:002008-12-06T08:47:00.000+11:00Twin Peaks Soundtrack and Belle and Sebastian? Any excuse for haggis is a good excuse to me. :)Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07157804056370219398noreply@blogger.com
