But secondly - and don't get me wrong - it's NOT a Finnish rye bread, and you should believe me 'cause I'm Finnish reader ;) The REAL Finnish rye bread is made 100% rye flour, other ingredients are just water and salt, (and a pinch of yeast if you don't have a starter). But anyway, your bread looks and sounds very yummy! :)
Yours, Celina from FinlandAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-70839893037977994982009-10-21T23:57:40.105+11:002009-10-21T23:57:40.105+11:00Thanks Anh - wish I could get to see more during t...Thanks Anh - wish I could get to see more during the festival but it is not easy with Sylvia, but was glad to hear the bells

thanks Astra - glad to give you a moment of calm - it is nice when we light a candle for dinner which was around when I was baking the bread (first version)

Thanks Maybelle's mom - there is still time to be susannah hoffs when you grow up surely :-)

Thanks Lysy - Sylvia fell head first onto the vegetable platter and there were tears - mostly her sitting is very good but every now and again there are topples and tears!

Thanks Wendy - the recipe I was using did say to use either light or dark rye but I just used the rye in my pantry - I am not sure this is the ultimate Finnish Rye Bread but it is a good one.

Thanks Lorraine - I am still interested to try Nigella's Finnish bread some time - will be interested to hear if you make itJohanna GGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594201473931487490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6742756814967464811.post-26925944616838240112009-10-21T22:09:45.128+11:002009-10-21T22:09:45.128+11:00My husband is half Finn so I bookmarked Nigella Fi...My husband is half Finn so I bookmarked Nigella Finnish bread recipe from HTBADG!
